Junior Awards
As a beginning junior golfer, my mom would sign me up for local or regional tournaments, where we did not have to travel far to gain experience. One of the most important things my mom did for my career was put me in as many small tournaments as possible so I could learn how to compete and gain confidence in my game. So we traveled constantly tournament to tournament, learning how to win and what mistakes not to make when I didn’t win. One of the best steps a player can take toward becoming a professional golfer is gaining experience under pressure, so that when the big stage is set you are ready for anything this game might throw at you!
